Special Collection: Socioeconomic Disparities in Healthcare Access
The Editorial Board of Journal of Young Investigators is inviting manuscripts and abstracts from undergraduate researchers across the world interested in publishing in JYI’s Special Collection: Socioeconomic Disparities in Healthcare Access.
Interested authors should submit a a full length manuscript or an abstract of 300-350 words that will be judged based on several criteria such as:
A relevant theme to the Special Collection topic
A novel theme that meaningfully contributes to existing literature
Appropriate abstract sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusion
Appropriate references in Harvard Style formatting
Scientific language and flow that is present and understandable to an undergraduate student
Direct and clear study objectives
All submissions will be reviewed by JYI’s editorial board and undergo a standard peer review process.
Author Requirements for Submissions:
The author must be an undergraduate student, or have completed their research submissions during their undergraduate degree. Students who have finished their undergraduate degree less than a year ago are eligible to submit as well.
The author must have a research supervisor holding a PhD degree or equivalent (see JYI website for equivalent degrees)
Abstracts must not be published in other existing journals/publications.
Both primary research and review abstracts are eligible for submission
Manuscripts and abstracts should be submitted here, alongside the standard supplementary materials of the presubmission checklist and author contract. Please indicate in the presubmission checklist that you would like to be considered for the special collection.
