Socioeconomic Disparities in Healthcare Access Special Issue
The Editorial Board of Journal of Young Investigators is inviting abstracts from undergraduate researchers across the world interested in publishing in JYI’s Special Issue: Socioeconomic Disparities in Healthcare Access.
Interested authors should submit an abstract of 300-350 words that will be judged based on several criteria such as:
A relevant theme to the Special Issues topic
A novel theme that meaningfully contributes to existing literature
Appropriate abstract sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion/Conclusion
Appropriate references in Harvard Style formatting
Scientific language and flow that is present and understandable to an undergraduate student
Direct and clear study objectives
All submissions will be reviewed by JYI’s editorial board.
Author Requirements for Submissions:
The author must be an undergraduate student, or have completed their research submissions during their undergraduate degree. Students who have finished their undergraduate degree less than a year ago are eligible to submit as well.
The author must have a research supervisor holding a PhD degree or equivalent (see JYI website for equivalent degrees)
Abstracts must not be published in other existing journals/publications.
Both primary research and review abstracts are eligible for submission
Proposals should be submitted to sre@jyi.org by January 15th, 2026. Feedback will be given by January 31, 2026 with release of the special issue in February 2026.
