Thank you to everyone who submitted abstracts for the January 8th 2022 conference!

 Abstract Guidelines:

  • You MUST be an undergraduate at the time of submission 

  • Your abstract must be under 400 words

  • The abstract must be written in English (you can be studying at anywhere in the world, it just has to be written in English)

  • Any abstract submitted must be entirely original (not published anywhere)

  • Submission Deadline: December 16th, 2021 at 11:59 pm EST 

**Note: If selected as a finalist, you must be able to submit a 5-10 minute video recording of either a poster presentation/slide presentation of your research by January 6th, 2022 (no exceptions!). Your recording will be critiqued by a panel of judges and featured at the JYI annual conference.

Submission Process:  

  • Upload to google form in PDF format, file titled LAST NAME_FIRST NAME_JYICONFABSTRACT (Link can be found below)

  • Author name(s), contact information, and university attended (+Proof of Enrollment) will be required 

  • Abstract title – limited to 20 words 

  • Abstract – must contain the following information: 

    • Introduction: Describes any necessary background information  

    • Objectives: Describes aims of the project

    • Methods/Procedures: Describes steps taken and experiments done 

    • Results: Describes any results gained from experiments

    • Discussion/Conclusions: Describes general conclusions you were able to gain. 

    • Future Directions: Describes future steps to take.  

  • Name and contact information of your research supervisor.
