The intent of this summer research program is to provide a hands-on laboratory experience for undergraduate students who wish to obtain a PhD degree and pursue a career in basic scientific research and/or science education at the college or university level.

Eligibility

* Be 18 years of age by the start of the program.

* Be a domestic or international student who will have completed a minimum of 2 years of undergraduate study and have at least one year remaining by the start of the program.

* Have a GPA of at least 3.5 in math and science courses and an overall GPA of at least 3.0.

* Be able to work at least 40 hours per week in a research lab for the duration of the 10-week program.
