The University of Cincinnati Office of Research and Graduate Education Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship

 
The University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center offer several Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Programs for biomedical research every year. In these programs, about 150 undergraduate student participants receive direct mentoring and valuable research experience for 8-10 weeks over the summer.  These programs are designed to help prepare undergraduate students for careers in biomedical research. Several programs are available, and students may request to work in any active research lab at UC or CCHMC. Stipend amounts vary between programs.

Citizenship Requirements

U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents only.

Eligibility

SURF Programs are intended for sophomores and juniors, but freshmen and seniors are also invited to apply. Applicants must be enrolled full or part-time in a baccalaureate or associate’s degree-granting program.
