Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Summer Institute
Students will learn about the various areas of bioengineering and bioinformatics from expert faculty in these fields. In addition to bioengineering and bioinformatics workshops, students will individually conduct a research project under the guidance of an SBES or VBI faculty mentor. Interns will also participate in professional development seminars such as applying to graduate school, ethics in research and networking. Organized outings for the group build friendships and teamwork. Field trips to the Wake Forest campus to visit collaborative research labs are also planned.
