Journal of Young Investigators publishes in the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, and in some of the social sciences such as psychology and history of science. We accept submissions of original research articles and literature review articles from undergraduate students. We also occasionally welcome submissions of journalistic news and feature articles, but most are written by our in-house staff.

Authors must be undergraduates.

Students submitting original research are required to have a faculty advisor or a sponsoring research scientist. All submitted work must be original and cannot have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in any other journal or publication.

Our journal publishes monthly, and we accept submissions at any time of the year. If you would like to submit your manuscript, please carefully review the manuscript requirements and submission FAQ pages before you submit your manuscript.

If you have any further questions, please contact the Senior Research Editor ( about research manuscript submissions or the Senior News and Features Editor ( about news and features submissions.
