Article Submissions

  1. The author (or lead author) of a paper must fill out the Submission Form and submit the manuscript to the JYI Submission Portal.

    Authors should create an account and follow the instructions listed at the portal. They will also be able to track the status of their manuscript at this site.

  2. The author's mentor (or lead mentor) must fill out the Advisor Approval Form for all original research manuscripts, unless the manuscript is a Literature Review.

After an author's Submission Form, Advisor Approval Form, and paper have been received, we will verify that the submission meets all the requirements listed in the submission policy.

You will receive a confirmation from us at this point.

All manuscripts will then be placed under review, and authors will be notified by a supervising editor once reviewers have been assigned. Please expect up to 10-12 weeks for your supervising editor to notify you of our decision (e.g. accept, accept with revisions requested, or decline to publish).
