Ali is a passionate scientist, an aspiring physician, and a great believer in constructive criticism. She joined JYI in September 2011 as an Associate Editor in Biology. Since then she has graduated from Scripps College in California and started working as a Postbac IRTA at the National Institutes of Health in Maryland. She was promoted to Biology Research Editor in the fall of 2012, and enjoys the opportunities it gives her to read a wider range of articles and to correspond more directly with authors. In her free time she loves to cook, read, go rock-climbing, and travel.
