Alexander Dufford
Pennsylvania State University, Expected May 2013
I am a senior at Penn State University and I intend to graduate in May of 2013 and pursue a doctoral degree in cognitive psychology. My research involves using fMRI to understand the neural basis for face processing as well as ERP to investigate the development of the brain's response to motion. I hope someday to teach psychology and neuroscience at a university as well as carry out research exploring the connectivity of the brain in typical and clinical populations using Diffusion Tensor Imaging.
Advisor: Suzy Scherf
Dr. Scherf is very excited that JYI provides a unique opportunity to showcase undergraduate research and direct them along a path toward a career in science. They can learn valuable skills very early in their training by submitting manuscripts and participating in the review process. She is delighted to mentor undergraduates who are involved with JYI.
