Significant Opportunities in Atmospheric Research & Science (SOARS) - provides opportunities, mentoring, career counseling, and financial support for culturally diverse students in the atmospheric or related sciences.

Competitions

Concrete Canoe Project - background information on this yearly competition in which schools design, build, and race full-size canoes made entirely of reinforced concrete.

RoboCup: The Robot World Cup Initiative - official site of the international research and education initiative to foster AI and intelligent robotics research.

Micro Aerial Vehicle Competition - international mini aircraft design and optimization competition held annually.

Equipment Grant Program - The Sandpiper Technologies Equipment Grant Program makes rental equipment available to wildlife biology graduate students in the U.S. and Canada. The equipment is scheduled between regular rentals to wildlife consultants, usually for three- to six-week periods.
