Director of Human Resources

Job Requirements

The Director of Human Resources position is an Executive position, and, like all Exec positions, requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week. All communication is via internet or phone, so no geographical constraints exist – the DHR may live anywhere in the world. All JYI staff are expected to check their email daily and respond promptly if necessary.

Preferred Skills or Experience

The Director of Human Resources must have demonstrated leadership skills and experience. The DHR must keep accurate staff records and must lead Human Resource Managers in widely varied tasks, so organization and time-management skills are vital. The DHR should also have experience working with professionals, or in a professional environment. Most importantly, the DHR must be passionate about providing the best opportunities for JYI’s staff and seeing the journal succeed.
