Science Journalist
Science Journalists work under the guidance of Feature Editors to write and review feature and news articles for publication.
Job Requirements: The Science Journalist position, like most JYI staff positions, requires an average commitment of at least 5 hours per week. All communication is via internet or phone, so no geographical constraints exist – Science Journalists may live anywhere in the world. All JYI staff are expected to check their email daily and respond promptly if necessary.
Preferred Skills or Experience: Science Journalists should have an interest in conveying topics related to science, technology, medicine, and the policies or laws affecting the same to a broad audience in a captivating style. Previous journalism or science writing experience is beneficial.
