Managing Editor
The Managing Editor coordinates various aspects of the journal, including copy-editing, and serves as the BOD secretary. The ME also handles all BOD applicants and serves as the chairperson at all official BOD meetings. In addition, the ME is in charge of JYI's archiving and various other duties. The ME also serves on JYI's Board of Directors, which directs the organization as a whole.

Job Requirements: The Managing Editor is a Board of Directors position, and, like all BOD positions, requires a commitment of at least 10 hours per week. All communication is via internet or phone, so no geographical constraints exist – the ME may live anywhere in the world. All JYI staff are expected to check their email daily and respond promptly if necessary.

Preferred Skills or Experience: The Managing Editor must have demonstrated leadership experience and skills. These are essential, as the ME must coordinate BOD meetings. Deadlines are all-important, and the ME must also be able to work in a deadline driven environment and have experience meeting and making deadlines. Copy editing experience is also beneficial. Most importantly, however, is a commitment to see the journal process through.
