Human Resources Department
The Human Resources Department is mainly responsible for recruitment and hiring of staff at JYI. This involves both constant outreach to university faculty, departments and student groups as well as semi-annual recruitment drives, usually in the early fall. Working with the Public Relations Department, Human Resources is also responsible for recruiting submissions as well, though largely through more non-professional routes. In addition to recruitment and hiring, Human Resources keeps accurate staff files and records, keeping statistics on staff representation and conducting annual surveys of staff and authors. Human Resources helps promote a strong JYI community and develop talented, hardworking staff.
