Tudor Cisu, originally from Romania and raised primarily in Syracuse, New York, has been with JYI since June of 2009. Currently a sophomore at the University of Virginia, Tudor will graduate in 2012 with degrees in Mathematics, Biology, and Astronomy. From his junior year in high school, Tudor has done research projects studying peptide translocation, cauda equina spinal repair, and most recently, cardiac modeling. Outside of school, work, and research, he spends his time playing Ultimate Frisbee, watching hockey, solving Rubik's cubes, and listening to Simon & Garfunkel. Tudor intends to pursue an MD/PhD degree in Molecular Pharmacology or Biochemistry after college, and hopefully a career in studying cardiovascular diseases thereafter.
