Matthew Canver

Matthew Canver, originally from Albany, NY, is a junior in Bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. Beginning in high school, he has worked on research projects covering the cardiovascular system, protein folding, and gene therapy. Currently, he is conducting gene therapy research for polycystic kidney disease in a laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. In the future, he plans to pursue an MD/PhD degree program. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, watching movies, and traveling.
