Ur Sherry Yu is originally from Chicago, Illinois and is currently a freshman at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. She will graduate in 2011 with a Bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry. Sherry has been involved in laboratory research since her first year at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) in Aurora, Illinois and has completed five projects in the past four years in the fields of theoretical and applied physics, hepatology, immunology, molecular and cellular biology, and neuroscience. She is currently working on a paper for publication and has presented at various conferences including the Ritsumeikan Super Science Fair in Kyoto, Japan, School of Science in Visnjan, Croatia, and the American Junior Academy of Science (AJAS) conference sponsored by AAAS. In her free time, Sherry enjoys dancing, playing the piano, watching baseball games, reading, traveling, and swimming.
